An active prototype is a prototype that is not archived.

Prototypes can contain an unlimited number of pages and are active until you archive them. When you no longer need regular access to a prototype, you can archive it. If you later need access again, our Pro and Unlimited plans let you unarchive it at any time.

You can create an unlimited number of projects to help you organize your prototypes, but depending on the plan you choose, there may be a limit on the number of active prototypes you can have at any one point in time.
